Mailers

The Mailers Creative type lets you easily create mass e-mails to send out to affiliates and customers, providing a simple way to let them know of any recent news or updates for your offer.

Mailers sent out can contain HTML, images and .zip files for greater customization.

Creating a Mailer

Click the Content row in Creatives section (to open Content creative types) and select View from Actions. This will take you to the Mailers sub-section where you can add a new Mailer via the Add Creative button.

This will open a popup where you can configure settings and define HTML content for the mailer. Settings include:

  • Name - The name of your new mailer.
  • Type - Choose if you want to send as a normal mailer, or make sure that it follows CAN-SPAM compliance.
  • Thumbnail - Choose a thumbnail image to be included with your mailer (optional).
  • Image Zip - Upload images in a .zip file to be included in your mailer (optional).

  • HTML Source - The html that will be used to display the mailer.

    Note

    The {$link} format must be used for the href in any links to the landing page.

  • Enabled on - Choose members of a site (or all sites) that you want this mailer to be sent to.

  • Publish Date - Input what date you want this mailer to be sent out.
  • Default Group - Select a creative group to categorize the mailer under.

Once you have defined all of the available fields, click "Add Creative" to add your new Mailer to Trackfinity.

Sending a Mailer

Before you can begin sending out your newly created mailer, you must first add a SHOW rule. To do so

  1. Select "Add a new rule" from the Actions button.
  2. On the next page, click the Add Rule button.
  3. Select SHOW from the options dropdown

This will add a "SHOW" rule for the affiliate you want to send the mailer to, as well as the site whose members you want the mailers to be sent to. For more information on rules in Trackfinity, please refer to the Rules article.
